Doubly prized by the Beauty Challenger Awards in the price of Brand and Emerging Organic Beauty Award, 66°30 shook from its launch in 2009 at COSMEETING, the market of cosmetics for men. To mark the release of the new line Pureté, Didier Arthaud, creator of 66°30, returns to the Most of this young brand ethically and responsibly.
• Why create organic cosmetics for men?
For many years I’ve looked for products that meet my expectations and my needs as a framework and urban quadra. I found nothing that balances both naturalness, simplicity and efficiency.
I am convinced that modern man is less fooled by marketing campaigns from another age which try to make believe that because one is worth it, we will all be smoothed faces, retouched to the extreme via Photoshop, like models who, neither has no age …
Today’s man needs to feel in the products they consume as he leads in battle every day.
However, unlike women, they have already acquired a real maturity on organic, men are still very poorly informed about the structural advantages of buying cosmetics.
One goal of 66°30 is thus to contribute to a better understanding of the issues of using cosmetics, using ingredients and innovative technologies that respect nature and our environment … our skin!
Finally, organic is for me first and foremost a philosophy, a “vision”of a more balanced world, where man is at the center of a wider ecology, including the environment but also economic and the social …
• Tell us about the range and news?
We wanted a range of products voluntarily short, multi-function, effective and very easy to use.
The current lineup consists of five facials.
All are moisturizers, matting (men hate products that shine or stick), thanks to the protective presence of the “Urban Shield ®”, an exclusive synergistic complex that we developed from 7 plants …
We are about to launch three new products:
- Scrub & Mask a 3-in1
- a daily face cleaner ultra-low
- a shower gel Body & Hair dermo-regulator.
These three products are of extremely demanding in terms of composition. They contain no ammonium lauryl sulfate (particularly irritating yet present in 9% of foaming products, including organic products!), allergen-free, alcohol free and of course, no parabens, PEG …
As for me, many of my projects are aligned on those of 66°30 and Basiliade those of the association in which I advocate …
Do you see an evolution from the men in the approach to cosmetics, organic extra?
Yes, change is very visible and most importantly, much faster than we had imagined.
We spend much time in retail outlets and we see that men are more susceptible to these issues “precaution”and “respect” for themselves, their environment and the environment in general.
Since the effectiveness of the product is not in question, we have an impressive membership rate of people who discover the power and benefits of dozens of plants as we find in each of the products in the range 66°30.
