Kanebo Foods (Health & Beauty) is launching a slimming drink in November 2009. It’s a group first, targeted to women aged 30 to 40. Hikishime Ginger contains grain of paradise (ginger family), which makes it possible to burn fat and stimulate the metabolism. Exists in 100-ml shots or gel versions. The slimming market is booming in Japan, strongly supported by the government’s anti-metabolism campaigns, to fight the metabolism-related syndrome linked to an unhealthy lifestyle (obesity, cholesterol…).
